Welcome Message from the ON-MOVE Chairs

It is a real pleasure to welcome the attendees to this twelfth edition of the IEEE Workshop on User MObility and Vehicular Networks (IEEE ON-MOVE 2018). Vehicular communications are now becoming a reality as upcoming technologies will enable all sorts of vehicles to get networked for increased road safety and transportation efficiency while allowing global connectivity. The general area of mobile communications has also been enjoying a tremendous growth in recent years as users are becoming increasingly mobile and networks are becoming pervasive, ubiquitous, multi-service, multi-operator and multi-acce . The twelfth IEEE Workshop on User MObility and Vehicular Networks is held in conjunction with IEEE LCN in Chicago, IL, USA on October 1-4, 2018. It follows the great succe of the previous workshop editions held in Dublin, Montréal, Zurich, Dublin, Bonn, Clearwater, Sydney, Edmonton, Clearwater, Dubai, and Singapore. The workshop brings together experts in the area from all over the world and serves as a forum for researchers from industry, academia and research labs, to present their latest research results. The technical program committee chairs have prepared a program featuring prominent invited speakers as well as papers by top researchers in the field. On behalf of the organizing committee, we hope you will have a fruitful workshop while taking the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Chicago region.
